Wall-E

Saving the world is rarely depicted in film as a robots main objective , they always seem too preoccupied with taking it over.

Salient character design is obvious in the two lead roles. Wall-e is the much older, archaic mechanism depicted by his clumsy means of transportation(tank tracks, slow but steady underfoot), filthy exterior and low tech gadgetry makes him well equipped for the degrading task he's been assigned; cleaning all the crap the humans have left behind. His counterpart Eve is the antitheses, quick and agile and sterile, (white to signify she's technologically advanced, pure and well maintained) she is also incredibly dangerous. Hell Hath no Fury.
