Come across a book inadvertently - whilst browsing called “The Animators Survival Kit” by Richard Williams (Who framed Roger Rabbit). Looked at a few reviews rave which claim that along with “The Illusion of Life”, by Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston it is a must have title for budding animators.
In addition the Animators Survival Kit has been reformatted into a 16 disc DVD box set – which when you think about it makes sense, being about movement and all that.
The video above is the opening sequence to the DVD box set, not only does it showcase the producers extraordinary talents, it also reiterates the importance of a walk cycle when developing a characters persona. Definitely a title to look out for in the library.
