Colour theory

Fascinating!:

What color(s) you choose for your client's logo is critical to the logo's perception. Colors have meanings to the human psyche. For example, red inspires passion and anger. To most people, yellow signifies cheer and vibrancy, but to a significant portion of the world's population a subdued or pastel yellow means the opposite—in fact, it prompts feelings of depression and dissatisfaction. Put red and yellow together, however, and they inspire hunger—one of the big secrets behind the success of McDonald's restaurants and its competitors, Burger King, Checkers, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and Wendy's, all of whom employ brands made up of variations on the red-and-yellow combination.
