Reply from Mike Henderson

Just had a reply from Mike Henderson (the engineer who wrote a short piece in his blog about Lego Mindstorm), goes as follows:

Hi James, I just received your comment on my blog, and you task soundsinteresting, if not challenging. The kids' robotic team that I spoke of in the blog entry is part of aworld-wide organization. There is a UK-based competition as well:http://firsthandtechnology.org.uk/I'd recommend you take a look on that site and get in touch with one of the contacts there. They can probably easily supply you with videosfrom past events and other information about Mindstorms.

The First Lego League competition in the USA is quite the endeavor --They had well over 2000 teams last year throughout the US. This linkwill give you some of the demographical and career-based stats you're after:http://www.usfirst.org/who/content.aspx?id=46 Good luck, and if you have other questions, feel free to ask.

Cheers,Mike
