Done the same again but added a gradient fill over the top in layer styles. When i used the marquee tool to originally create the rectangle boxes i used a stroke rather than a fill. Think this is getting closer to what i wanted. Could start playing with the punk and bloat tool to give a bit more control over the final image.

2020 - photoshop
